OUR COACHED RUNNING SESSIONS HAVE ALL RESUMED

Ellie Brown and her team of qualified England Athletics coaches have been taking sessions in and around Greenwich for over 15 years. We run fully licensed Run Together/England Athletics running groups and train in the beautiful surroundings of Greenwich Park.

The groups are supported by Run Together and the Royal Greenwich Park and we are actively involved in promoting running in the community. Each running group offers not only training support and guidance but encouragement, camaraderie, warmth and a good welcome.Why not join us for one of our free community runs.

GR_LOGO_SM_RGBThe Greenwich Runners is a friendly and welcoming club based in Greenwich Park. Royal Borough of Greenwich. We run various running groups each week from beginners to our all-level run clubs. More details. The Greenwich Runners have their own website www.greenwichrunners.co.uk 

RUN CLUB – Our run club is for all levels of runners. For beginners running courses please see below. Our run clubs are 60 minutes coached running sessions and all our coaches are  England Athletics coaches. The coached sessions will focus on key elements which you need to improve as a runner; stamina, speed, flexibility, mobility, strength and endurance.

Wednesday 19.00 – 20.00 – HIIT & Run £10.00 To book

First session – April 7th. Meet at Market studios, Greenwich Market. A 5K run with a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) session every 1K. Booking Essential. You don’t have to be fast and fit to join this session – just be able to run a 5K comfortably.

Free Community run every Thursday. Meet at the Market Studios, Durnford Street, Greenwich Market. Meet in the studio entrance. 

Walk/Run & Talk – 3K/6K & 9K Mental Health Awareness walk/run
On the Last Sunday of every Month – Greenwich Park.
Next Walk –  27th June 2021 9.00am 

You can do one lap (3k) two laps or three of the beautiful Greenwich Park. Each group will have a walk/run leader so you won’t be alone. This is a community event and everyone is welcome no matter what pace. It is about the support and camaraderie and how getting outside and walking/ running brings people together. Pop along and show your support #mentalhealthawareness. Buggies welcome.

FINDING FORM – Running Technique Workshop with UKA coaches Ellie Brown & Carly O’Hara in Greenwich Park. £10 session.

Two running technique workshops where each session is a building block to a stronger and more efficient runner.

 How to build strength into your running. Why we need strength and what exercises are invaluable to a runner? An introduction to drills and exercises that will complement your running and improve conditioning.

Cadence & Speed – Session three –  Saturday August 7th  11.30am – 12.30 To book

We all want to run faster – right? We can’t promise you’ll be Usain Bolt however we will give you the tools so you can try. A look at how we can include session in our routine that target speed so you can start chasing those PBs.

No experience of Pilates is required to join this course. Suitable if you have a running injury. A health form will need to be completed prior to attending. 

Buggy RunnersBuggy Runners Details is a fitness session where your baby/toddler comes too. We will guide new Mums through all aspects of postnatal fitness, however Dads and carers are welcome too. Don’t panic, you don’t have to be fit or to run to join these sessions! Buggy Runners is part of Greenwich Runners and a recognised and supported group of Greenwich Park. All our coaches are fully trained and on hand to give advise. Every Tuesday and Thursday 10.15am – 11.15am. Greenwich Park. Max 15. 

INDIVIDUAL RUNNING TECHNIQUE

Ellie Brown, a  UK Athletics running coach is one of the founders of The Greenwich Running Academy. Are you struggling with your running? Are you running a marathon and are finding it hard to keep motivated? Are you getting repeatedly injured? Have you embarked on a challenge you are struggling to complete.
