Sunday Slowdown Sound bath

Join us on Sunday 5th May for chilled Sunday sound bath.

A Sunday Slowdown Sound bath is a chance to relax, reset, and re-tune your mind, body, and spirit as Laura weaves healing sounds using instruments such as the monochord, crystal singing bowls, her voice, koshi chimes, rainstick, and more.

Sound healing assists the brain in entering slower, deeper, healing states, while soothing the nervous system, and encouraging release of built up tension and stress, boosting cellular repair.

Sound can also expand feelings of peace, joy, and calm, boosting emotional resilience, giving us an increased ability to cope with and process trauma, and life’s challenges.

The best bit is you don’t have to do anything other than show up with an open mind and heart and an invitation to allow the sound medicine into your inner world.

Before the sound bath begins, everyone has a chance to get comfortable, before Laura guides you through a check-in to cultivate the mind-body connection, some gentle breathwork, and a meditation typically focused on self-love or gratitude, which leads into intention setting.

Sound Therapy could be of great benefit to you if you need space to rest, need help with sleep, or need support with any aspect of your physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual health. It could also be of interest if you’re just curious about sound & music, or have an affinity with music (although no musical knowledge is required) or just to cultivate a deeper sense of self.

WHO SHOULD AVOID THIS SESSION?
Sound Therapy is not recommended if you are pregnant (in the first trimester), if you have epilepsy, Grand Mal seizures, experience severe PTSD or sound-related PTSD, or have a severe mental health condition like Schizophrenia.

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING
Wear loose comfortable & cosy clothing to give yourself the best chance of relaxation. Bring extra mats, blankets, pillows to support you if you need it, and water to help you stay hydrated, as sound travels more quickly & efficiently through a hydrated body, and helps flush out any toxins that are released during the sound bath.
