I’m a mum of two boys and can be regularly found with the running buggy clocking up miles.
I was inspired to run as a child watching my Dad compete in races most weekends, but it wasn’t until 2015 when I took on the London Marathon that I really started to take it seriously and got the bug wanting to get stronger and faster, achieving PBs in 5k, 10k, half marathons and even more marathons!
Prior to having the boys I was on my bike every day commuting, spinning at the gym, swimming and even dipping my toes into open water. And then in 2020 I qualified as a Triathlon coach to encourage more women to get into Triathlons.
Being an active mum is super important to me and running with the buggy gives me the opportunity to do this whilst inspiring the boys. In 2023 I decided to become an England Athletics Coach to focus more on my running and to give others the tools and motivation to achieve their personal goals.
Running for me is not just about getting out and ticking off those miles, I want to take others on that journey with me and see them progress and succeed whilst enjoying the process. Many of my friends will agree I’ve badgered them most weeks to come out with me on a run, join a session or even sign up for a race, no matter how crazy it sounded. So let’s get out there and keep running together.
