What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is simply paying attention to what is happening in the here and now (your thoughts, emotions and sensations) in a non-judgemental way. With practice, mindfulness can be become a very powerful tool to help cope with life’s stresses and strains.
Greenwich Fitness and Pilates has teamed up with Rabiya McKeverne, Founder of Spring Coaching and Training to bring mindfulness taster sessions and more in-depth Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course.
The Mindfulness Taster Session
During this session, you will gain a basic understanding of
• what mindfulness is (and is not)
• the various benefits of mindfulness
• the neuroscience and research on how mindfulness works and
• most importantly get an experience of some mindfulness practices.
All participants will be given access to audio recordings of the mindfulness practices practiced after the session.
