I am a physiotherapist with 26 years clinical experience graduating from Kings College London in 1995 with a BSc (Hons) degree in physiotherapy. I have worked in many NHS London teaching hospitals and have over 17 years’ experience in the private sports injury/ rehabilitation sector. I set up my own company, Physiorhythm, in 2014 to enable me to practice holistically and to have sufficient time with clients to assess them accurately and comprehensively in order to offer them a structured rehab plan. My specialities include musculoskeletal rehabilitation (spinal, head-toe!), orthopaedics and post-operative rehab and chronic pain. I have first-hand experience of the need to strengthen when returning to fitness after having children, so I also specialise in running injuries and post-natal rehabilitation. I am passionate about sports injury prevention so my assessments include looking at posture, core strength and flexibility plus biomechanics. If you have pain which doesn’t resolve with stretching/massage you need an accurate diagnosis, so it does not become chronic (anything over 12 weeks). I give sports-specific exercises in my rehab programmes and use tape to facilitate or inhibit muscle groups or purely to improve posture awareness/ proprioception.

Acupuncture is extremely beneficial for pain relief (acute and chronic) and for trigger point release, wellbeing and stress management. I have been practising acupuncture for over 14 years and it enables me to offer a holistic approach focusing on the whole body and not just a body part.
