Our small classes of a maximum of 8/10 are taken in the comfort of the Market Studios, Durnford Street, Greenwich Market and Greenwich Pilates studio, 225 Greenwich High Road.  Please check which studio you are booked into before attending the class.

Mother and baby Pilates

Greenwich Pilates has been teaching postnatal Pilates for over 12 years and is the leading studio in South East London for Pre and Postnatal classes.

These Postnatal Pilates Classes are a maximum of ten Mothers and their babies. Before starting Post-natal Pilates you must wait six weeks after a natural birth and eight weeks after a cesarean. This is a guide and it is best to check before booking. These small and intimate classes are held over a six week period. The course will help your postnatal body slowly recover from your nine months of pregnancy and the subsequent birth. All your births are different and we will tailor the exercises to suit your individual needs.We will look to strengthen you from the inside out, focusing on your abdominal's as well as your pelvic floor. These classes will help with Mummies struggling with pelvic floor dysfunction, diastasis recti, back pain or shoulder and neck pain.

These classes are for for Mothers with pre crawling babies.  Your baby can lie next to you on a mat or in their carry cot or you may wish to bring them in a car seat, whichever suit you and your baby. The classes are very relaxed and during the class you may need to change or feed your baby.

Our Pilates teachers are all trained in pre and postnatal Pilates, so will be on hand to help and support you through the first few months of motherhood.
