Running

Ellie Brown and her team of qualified England Athletics coaches have been taking sessions in and around Greenwich for over 11 years. We run fully licensed Run Together/England Athletics running groups and train in the beautiful surroundings of Greenwich Park.

The groups are supported by Run England and the Royal Greenwich Park and we are actively involved in promoting running in the community. Each running group offers not only training support and guidance but encouragement, camaraderie, warmth and a good welcome.

We run various running groups each week from beginners to our all-level run clubs. More details. The Greenwich Runners have their own website www.greenwichrunners.co.uk 

RUN CLUB – Our run club is not advised for beginners, please see below for beginners course. Our sessions are hourly long coached running sessions  and all our coaches are  England Athletics coaches. The coached sessions will focus on key elements which you need to improve as a runner; stamina, speed, flexibility, mobility, strength and endurance.

Wednesday 7.30pm – 8.30pm – HIIT & Run £8.00 To Book

A 5K run with a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) session thrown in every one kilometre. You don’t have to be fast and fit to join this session – just be able to run a 5K comfortably. Meet at the Market Studios, 18-23 Greenwich Market. 

Thursday 7.00pm – 8.00pm – Weekly 6K runFREE. No booking required

Meet at the Market Studios, Durnford Street, Greenwich Market.

Meet in the studio entrance. There are lockers to leave you kit and showers. If you join us for 8pm Yoga for Runners afterwards the fee is only £10. Drop in

Thursday 8.00pm – 9.00pm – YOGA FOR RUNNERS £14.00 to book

Market Studios, Greenwich Market with Krista Wills

Suitable for all levels including those completely new to yoga.

You do not need to be supple and stretchy to join this class or to have any experience practising yoga.

Running Technique Workshop.

How to to improve your technique to remain injury free, faster, stronger and more confident.

Meet at St Mary’s Gate, Greenwich Park. (The one nearest the Cutty Sark) Greenwich.

This workshop is for runners of all abilities and is held in Greenwich Park. Our workshops are taken by England Athletics coach Ellie Brown & Carly O’Hara who have over 14 years of of coaching experience. We will look at all aspects of running and give you personal feedback on how you can improve your running times, achieve those targets and avoid injury. RUNNERS STRETCH & FASCIA RELEASE WORKSHOP with Ellie Brown

Saturday 6th October 2pm – 3.30pm £22.50  to book @ Market Studios, Durnford Street, Greenwich Market

For all levels of runner. Ellie Brown, Athletics coach, marathon runner, Pilates teacher and Stretch Therapist will be helping you stretch and release those tight and over worked muscles by using the foam roller, theraband (for stretching) as well as lacrosse balls, spikey balls and broom handles to release the fascia tissue around the feet, hips, legs, ITB, shoulders and spine. This workshop will give you the tools to be able to stretch and release at home. Spaces limited to 12

 

Buggy RunnersBuggy Runners is a fitness session where your baby/toddler comes too. We will guide new Mums through all aspects of postnatal fitness, however Dads and carers are welcome too. Don’t panic, you don’t have to be fit or to run to join these sessions! Buggy Runners is part of Greenwich Runners and a recognised and supported group of Greenwich Park & England Athletics Run Together. All our coaches are fully trained and on hand to give advise. INDIVIDUAL RUNNING TECHNIQUE

Ellie Brown, a  UK Athletics running coach is one of the founders of The Greenwich Running Academy. Are you struggling with your running? Are you running a marathon and are finding it hard to keep motivated? Are you getting repeatedly injured? Have you embarked on a challenge you are struggling to complete. We can analyse your gait, identify your weaknesses and strengths, help you with your training plans and support you in achieving your goals. These sessions are held at our studio; Market Studios in Greenwich and Greenwich Park and each session is 70mins – £70.00. Email Ellie
