Anya Hayes is a Pilates teacher specialising in pregnancy and postnatal recovery. She is the author of several books around Pilates and pregnancy, and perinatal mental health.

The session will focus on functional pelvic floor awareness exercises that can be easily built into day to day with your baby: reframing “exercise” into healthy daily movement patterns and develop a strong foundation for taking on higher intensity exercise such as running and HIIT.

The session is suitable for diastasis recti (abdominal separation), and will offer you a toolkit of exercises to incorporate into your daily activities to strengthen and energise you for your time with your baby.

The postnatal period is a time of great change and unprecedented stress for body and mind. This session will focus on getting our bodies feeling whole and strong post babies and restoring optimum function in our pelvic floor and core. The session will incorporate a mindfulness approach, focusing on your physical AND mental health to build your emotional resilience for the motherhood journey.

We’ll end the workshop with a short guided meditation which will enable you to learn to breathe fully, release tension and soften anxiety.
